Seeing the video, it is so hard to believe that the destruction of one pylon brought down multiple bridge sections. Bad engineering to begin with and it has passed inspections which ignored this for decades.
This tragedy will be far from over when survivors are rescued or bodies retrieved. This bridge was a vital traffic artery. The destruction of it will impact lives for months or even years. Tens of thousands of jobs and various supply lines will be impacted heavily.
